We, a family of 6, purchased the 240-liter evacuated-tube solar water heater in 2017 and are still using the system until today (2023). The evacuated tubes heats stored water in the tank above the to 45C (cloudy/rainy days) and up to 75C (sunny days). The stored water remains above 45C until the next day. The stored water heats our pipe water via a heat exchanger inside the stored water tank, supplying warm pipe water to our two bathrooms.

We opted not to activate the backup electric heater since we installed the system as we wanted to have hot water heated only by solar thermal energy. VERY RARELY (once a year) do we get more than 5 consecutive days of bad weather that results in the water to be below 40C.

Service personnel was still available in year 6, as we had to repair the system due to potential damage from roof-climbing animals.

While return-on-investment varies, we expect the system to pay back by next year. Overall, the Mirai evacuated‐tube solar water heater system has helped us save our electricity bill to below RM150 every month (air-conditioning only activated before we sleep). We are happy, and we hope other customers would benefit from this system, too.

Before I was introduced to Mirai Energy, my family and I used to shower in cold water during the rainy seasons, despite having a solar panel.
However, with Mirai Energy, we are able to have hot water throughout the year, even during the rainy season.

They very patiently explained to me how the solar energy scheme works and what my options are, and also walked me through the whole process step by step. I didn't need to worry about the many procedures involved. They solved the problems for me. I just needed to do my part to provide documents. Installation was done very professionally following safety rules. Very dependable and trustworthy!

I have a solar heater installed for slightly more than a year and it had served the household well. There was a problem with the water intake valve recently but the value of a good supplier is the after sales. It was also a wiring failure where somehow the wire casing running across the roof in the open had deteriorated in the hot sun and water was seeping into the wires. Kudos to Nicole for quick response and Mr Shen the technician who came and painstakingly explained to me what he was doing, how he solved the problem and photo evidence of what he did. Solved it within two hours, and returning another day to make sure the wiring from the controller to the solar panel is adequately protected as he explained to me that the original casing used was not adequate for our weather. It may be the oversight of the original installation as I was concern the problem may recur but he rectified it. Well done!
